NOUN
A.    The Definition of Noun
A noun, in English grammar, is a word that names a person, animal, place, thing, idea, or concept. There are more nouns in the English Language than any other kind of words. B.     The Kinds of Noun
In English, there are two kinds of noun is that:

C.    The Type of Nouns  
There are two kind of noun is that:
1.      Countable noun
A countable noun (or count noun) is a noun with both a singular and a plural form, and it names anything (or anyone) that you can count. You can make a countable noun plural and attach it to a plural verb in a sentence. Countable nouns are the opposite of non-countable nouns and collective nouns.

CONCLUSION

According to discussion before, We can conclude that countable and uncountable nouns as noun that shows subject in the sentence. We know that form of sentence are consist of subject and verb. Subject bring us to be able to determine words’ position balancing with the verb. If we make wrong speculation at the first when we deciding subject, it will make big effect for the verb also the sentence.
So, discussing countable and uncountable nouns may teach and give us more knowledge to be able to determine also decide the position subject and verb in one sentence.

MAKALAH PARAGRAF ARGUMENTASI TENTANG MEROKOK

BAB I
PENDAHULUAN
A.    Latar Belakang Masalah
Dewasa ini merokok merupakan gaya hidup. Walaupun rokok sendiri mengandung zat-zat yang berbahaya untuk tubuh namun perokok mengindahkannya. Mereka (perokok) memiliki alasan tersendiri mengapa mereka merokok. Beberapa alasan mereka adalah untuk mengurangi berat badan, meningkatkan percaya diri, memudahkan mendapatkan ide-ide atau inspirasi, gaul, dan lain-lain. Oleh sebab itu penulis tertarik untuk menulis paragraf argumentasi yang berjudul ’Merokok’. 

B.     Rumusan Masalah
Adapun rumusan masalahnya adalah
1.      Mengapa kebiasaan merokok bahaya untuk kesehatan?
2.      Apa sajakah yang terkandung di dalam rokok ?
3.      Apa penyakit yang timbul akibat merokok?

C.    Tujuan
Adapun tujuan makalah ini adalah
1.      Untuk mengetahui bahaya merokok bagi kesehatan,
2.      Untuk mengetahui zat-zat yang terkandung di dalam rokok, dan
3.      Untuk mengetahui penyakit yang timbul akibat merokok.



BAB II
PEMBAHASAN
Paragraf Argumentasi
         Merokok merupakan kebiasaan mengkonsumsi sesuatu yang buruk bagi kesehatan. Banyak penyakit telah terbukti menjadi akibat buruk merokok, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Merokok tidak hanya merugikan diri sendiri (perokok aktif) tetapi juga orang di sekitarnya (perokok pasif). Asap yang dikeluarkan rokok sangat berbahaya bagi siapa saja yang menghirup atau menghisapnya. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketiga setelah China dan India, dalam kasus kematian akibat menghisap rokok. Berdasarkan hasil survei Ikatan Ahli Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia tahun 2007, sebanyak 1.127 orang meninggal setiap hari akibat rokok. 
         Merokok sudah menyebar di Indonesia, baik itu di kota-kota besar maupun di daerah-daerah. Merokok menjadi gaya hidup. Merokok tidak hanya dilakukan oleh orang dewasa, remaja tetapi juga anak-anak. Kebiasaan buruk ini susah untuk di hilangkan. Makanya jumlah perokok di Indonesia cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sedangkan di negara maju, perokok malah berkurang jumlahnya setiap tahun. Laporan WHO tahun 1983 menyebutkan, jumlah perokok meningkat 2,1 persen per tahun di negara berkembang, sedangkan di negara maju angka ini menurun sekitar 1,1 persen per tahun.
         Berbagai alasan di kemukan oleh perokok. Diantara lain yaitu mengurangi berat badan, menghilangkan stress, meningkatkan percaya diri, gaul, keren, dan sebagainya. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan Prof Soesmalijah Soewondo dari Fakultas Psikologi UI-yang bertanya kepada sejumlah orang yang tidak berhenti merokok-diperoleh jawaban bahwa bila tidak merokok, akan susah berkonsentrasi, gelisah, bahkan bisa jadi gemuk; sedangkan bila merokok, akan merasa lebih dewasa dan bisa timbul ide-ide atau inspirasi. Faktor-faktor psikologis dan fisiologis inilah yang banyak mempengaruhi kebiasaan merokok di masyarakat.
         Ada slogan yang beredar dikalangan remaja sekarang ini yaitu ‘tidak merokok tidak gaul’. Ini  merupakan slogan yang berbahaya bagi generasi muda. Mereka akan mudah terpengaruh oleh slogan tersebut. Generasi muda terkenal dengan generasi yang memiliki jiwa labil atau masih mencari jati diri. Jadi mereka akan mencoba merokok biar dikatakan gaul atau update seperti teman-temannya, karena remaja anti dengan kata-kata ketinggalan atau katrok.  
         Zat-zat yang terkandung di dalam rokok
Dampak buruk merokok bagi kesehatan biasanya akan muncul dalam jangka waktu yang lama, di atas 5 tahun. Pria atau wanita yang merokok menghadapi resiko buruk yang sama, yaitu kematian. Selain itu ada resiko yang khusus bagi wanita yaitu terganggunya fungsi reproduksi.
Sampai saat ini tidak ditemukan satupun akibat baik dari menghisap rokok. Karena dampaknya yang sangat buruk bahkan dari kalangan agama pun sepakat untuk ikut mengurangi kebiasaan merokok di masyarakat, yaitu dengan mengeluarkan rekomendasi pelarangan merokok.
Penyakit-penyakit dan gangguan kesehatan pada organ tubuh yang disebabkan oleh kebiasaan merokok yaitu emfisema paru-paru, bronkitis kronis, asma, kanker paru-paru, jantung koroner, gangguan pada sistem saraf, otak, hipertensi, stoke, risiko terbesar untuk mati mendadak, memperbesar kemungkinan timbulnya AIDS pada pengidap HIV. Kini makin banyak diteliti dan dilaporkan pengaruh buruk merokok pada ibu hamil, impotensi, menurunnya kekebalan individu, termasuk pada pengidap virus hepatitis, kanker saluran cerna, dan lain-lain.

Penurunan produktivitas tenaga kerja menimbulkan penurunan pendapatan perusahaan, juga beban ekonomi yang tidak sedikit bagi individu dan keluarga. Pengeluaran untuk biaya kesehatan meningkat, bagi keluarga, perusahaan, maupun pemerintah.
Upaya menghentikan kebiasaan merokok menjadi tugas dan tanggung jawab dari segenap lapisan masyarakat. Usaha penyuluhan, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda, dapat pula dikaitkan dengan usaha penanggulangan bahaya narkotika, usaha kesehatan sekolah, dan penyuluhan kesehatan masyarakat pada umumnya.
Tokoh-tokoh panutan masyarakat, termasuk para pejabat, pemimpin agama, guru, petugas kesehatan, artis, dan olahragawan, sudah sepatutnya menjadi teladan dengan tidak merokok. Ini bisa mencerminkan bahwa, kalau ingin berperestasi atau gaul tidak dengan merokok. Peran pemerintah sangat diperlukan dalam mengurangi kebiasaan buruk ini seperti pembatasan kesempatan merokok di tempat-tempat umum, sekolah, kendaraan umum, dan tempat kerja; pengaturan dan penertiban iklan promosi rokok; memasang peringatan kesehatan pada bungkus rokok dan iklan rokok. Iklim tidak merokok harus diciptakan. Ini harus dilaksanakan serempak oleh kita semua, yang menginginkan tercapainya negara dan bangsa Indonesia yang sehat dan makmur.



BAB III
PENUTUP
1.      SIMPULAN
Merokok berbahaya bagi kesehatan. Berbagai penyakit bisa muncul akibat merokok seperti kanker, jantung koroner, asma, dan lain-lain. Jumlah kematian akibat rokok di Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketiga di dunia setelah China dan India. Dari 1127 orang yang meninggal itu, 67 persennya merupakan laki-laki," kata Yayi Suryo Prabandari, peneliti Pusat Kajian Bioetik dan Perilaku Kesehatan, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
Merokok tidak hanya merugikan diri sendiri tetapi juga orang di sekitar kita. Merokok juga bisa membuat kantong jebol, maksudnya keuangan bisa menipis karena merokok. Untuk mengurangi kebiasaan merokok bisa dimulai dari kemauan perokok itu sendiri maupun oleh lingkungan sekitar seperti dorongan dari orang-orang terdekat (misalnya keluarga). Peran pemerintah juga sangat diperlukan dalam mengurangi kebiasaan merokok. Pemerintah bisa menerapkan kebijakan seperti beberapa negara lainnya. Misalnya di Thailand dan Singapura, dalam bungkus rokok selain ditulis peringatan bahaya merokok juga disertai photo korban bahaya rokok. Kebijakan ini lambat laun akan mengurangi jumlah perokok di Indonesia. "Penelitian menunjukkan, pemasangan gambar korban rokok pada kemasan bungkus rokok itu berpengaruh terhadap penurunan tingkat pengguna merokok," pungkas Sunaryo.
2.      SARAN
Penulis sangat mengharapkan saran dan kritik yang membangun karena penulis menyadari makalah ini masih jauh dari kesempurnaan.
